CE certification of wood based panel

1. What is board CE certification

For solid wood board, plywood and veneer laminated wood, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, cement bonded chipboard and fiberboard, CE mark is required before they can be put on the European market.

CE mark is a compulsory certification mark for some products in the European market in terms of basic health and safety requirements. The European Commission has set the basic requirements for wood boards, and the standards are coordinated throughout the European economic region.

All manufacturers of solid wood board, plywood and laminated veneer, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, cement bonded chipboard and fiberboard from Europe or beyond must meet the requirements of CE marking after April 1, 2003 so that the products can be circulated in the European market. Therefore, European consumers believe that CE mark is a symbol of product performance and quality assurance.

2. Introduction of CE certification standard for wood board

For solid wood board, plywood and laminated veneer, corrugated cardboard, chipboard, cement bonded chipboard and fiberboard, the EU compulsory certification standard is en13986.
