CE and EU directives

The EU has implemented a system to protect the health of consumers and workers, the state of goods and the environment. Under the new system, the EU and some EFTA countries have formulated CE directives. To ensure that products meet safety and quality standards.

Through the harmonization of standards, countries apply uniform assessment procedures and acceptance conditions, so as to reduce the repetition of tests and individual cases.

In 1994, EU / European Community and EFTA jointly established the European economic region, which is the largest economic region in the world. As of January 1, 2007, it had the following participating countries: Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Greece, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, slovens NIA, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Cyprus, UK, Ireland

Candidate countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey

The product must comply with the applicable EC Directive or it will be excluded from this market. EC directives provide the necessary health and safety requirements and establish procedures for assessing product conformity, which are different between products and directives.

The CE mark is the manufacturer's compliance mark indicating compliance with all current directives. For most products sold to the EU, the use of CE mark and declaration of conformity of products are mandatory provisions. With this conformity mark, products can freely circulate in Member States. CE marking must be indicated on the product device or on the package. However, this CE marking does not exempt the national law enforcement units from the actions for the products that do not conform to the marking.

How to mark CE

*Determine the applicable directive.

*Determine applicable reconciliation standards and necessary health and safety requirements.

*If the instruction requires or there is an actual need, a verification agency must be selected.

*The decision is when the model is met and evaluated.

*Incorporate instruction requirements into design considerations.

*Collect technical documents.
